I paint to express what touches me deeply and what I can't put into words or book pages. I paint with oil sticks and use my fingers and spatulas to move the paint on the surface. It’s a process of several layers of reduction and reapplying. My paintings are a haptic continuation of what I have been doing for years in my books, a relation between what is observed, felt and expressed.
